WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) – A former St. Marys City Schools employee has been arrested on sex charges allegedly involving a student.
Hector Hernandez, 51, was taken into custody Monday and charged with sexual battery. He is currently being held in the Auglaize County Jail, awaiting a bond hearing scheduled for Thursday.
According to the district, Hernandez had served as a bus driver for St. Marys schools and has since submitted his resignation. School officials say they are cooperating fully with investigators.
Authorities said the alleged incident involved a student but did not occur on school grounds. The investigation remains ongoing.
