Apollo Career Center welcomed a prominent member of Ohio's education system for an informational tour. As COVID restrictions lift, the education field is slowly but surely inching closer to a normal school day. Apollo Career Center hosted Ohio Education Association President Scott DiMauro to tour the facility and see firsthand the type of opportunities offered during and after the peak of the pandemic. The tour focused on career areas that the school offers, with DiMauro connecting with both teachers and students, listening and learning about the type of education offered in Allen county.

The Ohio Education Association president also made a special appearance at the Lima City Schools School Supply Giveaway Celebration. OEA President Scott DiMauro plans to work on several initiatives. One of the main things he plans to work on is reducing the amount of standardized testing in schools. He believes too much testing takes away class time and prevents educators from teaching their students.
