The St. Marys Police Department arrested a woman after she allegedly assaulted and hospitalized a man Tuesday night. Chief Jacob Sutton says that 24-year-old Shanavia Hill has been charged with felonious assault following an incident with 64-year-old Charles Schmidt. The police responded to an assault call in the 400 block of Gas Street around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Schmidt was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with unknown injuries, Hill is in the Auglaize County Jail.
