Plans for a major road construction project in Shawnee Township are underway. The Allen County Engineer has secured federal funding that will cover the majority of a 2.8-million-dollar project that will make improvements at both the Shawnee Road and Breese Road intersection along with the South Dixie and Breese Road intersection. Breese Road between the two intersections will also get improvements along with new pavement. A recent study has been completed on what changes would increase the safety of those areas.

The City of Lima continuing its efforts to become more pedestrian and bicycle friendly, announcing a new sidewalk project on the west side.
