Bluffton is also introducing multiple scholarship programs that range from several thousand dollars to full tuition, helping remove financial barriers for qualifying students.
Dr. Alex Sider, president of Bluffton University, said the goal is to create an environment where students can thrive.
“What we want is for a student who comes to Bluffton to experience Bluffton as a place where they can plug in and thrive and know that they are cared about and cared for.”
Ohio Northern University has received a $1million scholarship grant from the Austin E. Knowlton Foundation to support students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is the key to the eligibility for grants and other funding from the college you want to attend. Education specialists say they can't express enough the importance of completing the application.
July 16, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio Department of Higher Education: COLUMBUS, OH, July 16, 2024 – Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) Chancellor Mike Duffey and Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) Director Stephen D. Dackin are continuing to urge students across Ohio to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Upon completion, many students are able to receive debt-free financial aid for college or postsecondary training. Ohio is ahead of the national average in FAFSA completion rates this year but remains six percent behind last year’s rate. While this is a relatively positive position given well-publicized federal delays in the form’s release at the end of 2023, ODHE and DEW want to ensure as many families as possible are taking advantage of this opportunity for financial assistance.
