A Lima man has been sentenced to prison after being indicted by the Allen County Grand Jury. Tyree Watson was sentenced to five years to a maximum of seven and a half years in prison.

As part of the deal, a charge of gross sexual imposition was dropped, and the original charge of rape was reduced to attempted rape. According to the indictment, the sex-related offenses happened between July and August of this year and involved a 12-year-old child. Watson will be classified as a tier three sex offender, and he will be sentenced in December.
21-year-old Tyree Watson was indicted by the Allen County Grand Jury on one count of rape, one count of gross sexual imposition, and having a weapon under disability. According to the indictment, the sex-related offenses happened between July and August of 2021. Watson is being held on a $250,000 bond.
