Lima fire and police departments responded to a two-vehicle crash just before noon on Monday. Two people were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries in the accident that occurred around 11:30 this morning. A truck was heading west on Spring Street when it failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the SUV at the intersection of Spring and Union Street.

Law enforcement were called to a home Wednesday afternoon for what started as a hostage situation, what transpired next lasted nearly two hours.
