September 24, 2024, Press Release from the Mercer County Sheriff's Office: Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that his office is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred this morning, September 24, 2024. Mercer County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call at 5:03 AM of a traffic crash on US Route 127, north of Dutton Rd in Dublin Township. The investigation revealed that a male, from Mendon, OH, was driving a Chevy van, traveling north on US Route 127. Cody L Snyder (30) of Seymour, IN, was traveling southbound in a 2015 white Freightliner semi-tractor and trailer. For an unknown reason, the unnamed male traveled left of center, striking Snyder.
