A group of local veterans are on their way to D.C. for an honorary experience. Eleven men and their families met at Western Sizzlin before their departure for the Honor Flight. The Honor Flight is an organization that transports veterans to D.C. to see various memorials. After saying goodbye to their family and friends they boarded the bus which was escorted by a group of motorcyclists and law enforcement. Ninety-eight-year-old army veteran, French Smith, says he looks forward to this special trip.
