“Lots of EMS calls, lots of fire calls. You're going to use your skills,” said Lord. “That's not something that every fire department in the area can say, but it's something that LFD is proud to do, and we're proud to provide that service to our citizens.”
Dave Halker has been affiliated with Heartbeat of Lima and Putnam County for 3-decades as a board member. He retired from the board and still wanted to be involved and that started his mission of volunteering.

Congressman Jordan started the day meeting with village officials then went on to speak with minster high school seniors. The congressman discussed the work ethic it takes to achieve success and his journey to becoming a member of Congress. Students had the opportunity to ask questions one-on-one and learn more about his role in the House of Representatives.
