NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio (WLIO) — North Baltimore remained unbeaten in Northwest Central Conference play Saturday, cruising past Ridgemont 49–21 at Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers opened the scoring when Luke Long faked a handoff and dashed into the end zone. North Baltimore then converted the two-point try to make it 14–0 early.
Ridgemont answered immediately on the kickoff — Hunter Weaver returned the kick to cut the lead to 7, and an onside-kick recovery shortly after put the Golden Gophers in prime position. A trick play followed: quarterback Kody Kiser hit Weaver on a flea-flicker for another score to pull Ridgemont closer.
But North Baltimore’s offense proved too much. Long broke free again, beating defenders to the outside for another rushing touchdown as the Tigers steadily pulled away.
North Baltimore finished with a balanced attack and opportunistic defense, while Ridgemont showed flashes with special-teams and creative play-calling. The final score left the Tigers 7–0 in league play and firmly in control of the conference race.
