LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Shawnee Indians welcomed Bishop Watterson to town Saturday for a boys soccer matchup, looking to make the most of their home field.

The Eagles jumped out to an early lead after a long throw-in created an opportunity inside the box, putting Shawnee in a 1-0 hole.

Bishop Watterson added another goal moments before halftime, sending the Indians into the break trailing 2-0.

Shawnee goalkeeper Preston McClendon kept his team within striking distance, making a strong save and tapping a shot over the crossbar.

The junior goalkeeper continued to face pressure as the Eagles looked to add to their lead.

However, the Indians struggled to generate opportunities offensively and couldn't find the back of the net in the second half.

Shawnee ultimately fell to Bishop Watterson 2-0.
