Bishop Dennis Walsh makes a trip back to visit his former parishes in Delphos, Landeck, and Spencerville.  He talks about being named the head of the dioceses of Davenport, Iowa a little over two months ago.  

The members of St. John Catholic Church in Delphos are reaffirming their faith through an event that they haven’t done for years. Sunday afternoon, the parish started a 40 Hours of Adoration, where different members of the parish will come to the church to pray each hour. The devotion of Forty Hours originated six centuries ago in the catholic church.  The parish members will spend time in prayer before the Eucharistic Lord to seek help and create a deeper connection in their faith.

Bishop Daniel E. Thomas celebrated mass Friday morning at St. Johns High School, and then held a question and answer session in the gymnasium. The session gave students a chance to connect and discuss a variety of topics with the bishop.

On Sunday morning St. Johns Catholic Church received a special visit from Bishop Daniel Thomas.

Mass began with an entrance procession.Then the church prayed and sang a number of hymns.Singing was followed by Bishop Thomas’s message.

New Life Church International will soon have a new church home.

On Sunday more than 50 people came out to celebrate New Life Church International's ground breaking at its future location on Yoakam road.

Since 2002, Diane Bishop has been part of the Allen County Council on Aging as its Executive Director.  But now, after serving nearly 30 years between Allen and Putnam counties, Bishop is stepping down from her role.
