ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Now that the fair is over, the Allen County Fair Board and staff cannot take a break, because they have another big event just around the corner. The Allen County Fair is the largest event for the fairgrounds, but next weekend can be arguably the second largest, Max's Trader Days and Water Dog Races. There will be over 1,000 vendors and traders all over the fairgrounds for the three-day event, bringing in tens of thousands of people every year. So, the fairgrounds needs to be ready for them.
“We have about three days to completely flip this fair upside down and get everything out of here because we have Max’s Traders Days coming in, as everybody knows. He rents out the entire fairgrounds,” says Troy Elwer, Allen County Fairgrounds Promotions and Operations Manager. “So, everything needs to be out of here, everything has to be clean, and that is all do to the support that we have from our maintenance staff, our office employees, and other volunteers.”
Max's Trader Days start on Friday, September 2nd, and run through Sunday, September 4th.
