With schools back in session, health officials are encouraging parents to get their children vaccinated.
Allen County Public Health is holding a special teen immunization clinic on Wednesday(8/29/18). It will be from 2 to 5 p.m. at their offices on East Market Street. The clinic is for pre-teens and teens in grades 7 through 12 only. All required school vaccines will be offered along with recommended vaccines. No one will be turned away due to the inability to pay, thanks to the "Vaccine for Children" program. Most private insurances also cover vaccines.
Walk-ins are accepted but appointments are preferred by calling 419-228-4457. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
