ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) -Â The Allen County Republican Party announced a national political leader will be coming to Lima to give the keynote speech at this month's Republican BBQ and Rally.
This year's keynote speech will be given by U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. Graham spoke at the Allen County Republican's last rally in 2019. U.S. Congressman Jim Jordan will also be speaking at the event to show his support for U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance. Due to the pandemic, the Allen County Republican Party has not held this rally in a couple of years, and Party Chairman Keith Cheney is thankful to have the BBQ Rally back.
"We're very fortunate that our healthcare workers have made some great strides. The Good Lord's been good to us, and once again we can hold our immense BBQ rally, and we've had a lot of Republicans contacting us wanting to know who the speaker is, excited to come, and it'll just be a great evening once again to be able to gather as a group," Cheney said.
