ELIDA, Ohio - Elida Local Schools Athletic Director Mr. Dave Evans has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Northwest Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NW-OIAAA) Meritorious Service Award.
This award is given to individuals in recognition of their special contributions, leadership and service to interscholastic athletics in Ohio at the local, district and state levels.
Dave has served as Athletic Director at Elida Local Schools for 15 years and has overseen more than 5,300 high school games, 16 varsity sports, and thousands of student athletes in that time. Under his leadership, Elida Athletics are well respected from peers in the region, at the Northwest District Board and OHSAA, and Elida Fieldhouse facilities are sought after for tournament games.
Dave was recognized in 2016-17 as the Ohio District Athletic Administrator of the Year by the NW-OIAAA , and he was also the recipient of the Athletic Director of the Year in 2017. The 2025 NW-OIAAA awards ceremony will be Wednesday, April 30 at 9:00 AM at Camden Falls Reception & Conference Center in Tiffin.
