LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The City of Lima is continuing efforts to reduce unwanted traffic habits in area neighborhoods.
After two community workshops and an initial survey, the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program is nearing the end of its information-gathering phase. Residents have one week left to take a final survey ranking the best practice suggestions that have come from community input. Those suggestions range from speed humps to curb extensions, and city leaders say it’s important to understand the specific traffic needs of neighborhoods.
“Any strategies we implement are going to impact them every day, because it will be every time you drive down your street,” Lima City Engineer Ian Kohli said. “So we definitely want to understand the concerns that citizens have, and we also want to make sure we’re developing appropriate strategies to address them.”
The survey can be found on the City of Lima’s website and social media pages.
