Lima Senior repeats as TCAL champion as district softball tournament continues

LIMA (WLIO) — Tournament softball action continued Wednesday night across Ohio, highlighted by another championship performance from Lima Senior.
The Spartans captured their second straight Toledo City Athletic League title with a dominant 17-2 victory in five innings at the University of Toledo.
In Division V district semifinal action, Jefferson saw its postseason run end in an 8-0 loss to top-seeded Archbold.
Paulding advanced with a 9-4 victory over Swanton. The Panthers will now face Eastwood on Friday at Clyde.
Division VI saw Minster and Parkway resume their suspended district semifinal from Tuesday. The Wildcats edged the Panthers 1-0 and now await the winner of Columbus Grove and Allen East.
In Division VII, top-seeded Ayersville shut out Antwerp 15-0 to advance. The Pilots will face either Hilltop or Edon on Saturday in Defiance.
Arcadia’s season also came to an end Wednesday with Hopewell-Loudon earning a 14-2 victory.
