WESTMINSTER, Ohio (WLIO) — Gospel music filled the air in Westminster as hundreds of people gathered for the annual Music in the Park festival.

Now in its 24th year, the free event has grown from a small concert into a regional gathering that attracts hundreds of Christian music fans each year. Thanks to the support of sponsors, the festival featured several musical acts, including artists with chart-topping singles, who performed while sharing messages of faith and God's love.

"It's a great privilege to be able to be involved in this group. And it's it is a group of people that have been very faithful and just overwhelm me with their volunteerism that they come up with. This is a little piece of heaven. We're just having a little joy of heaven before we get to go to the big place itself. I look at the people that started with us, the people that have already went on before us. And it's exciting to think they're up there and they're looking at what we're doing," said Doug Stemmel of Music in the Park.

In addition to live music, the festival featured activities for children, a car show and free meals provided by Stites Grocery.
