FINDLAY, Ohio (WLIO) — The 2026 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League regular season wrapped up Sunday with the Lima Locos playing for the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs on the road against the Flag City Sluggers at Fifth Third Field at Marathon Diamonds.

Lima struck first in the top of the first when Shane Miranda lined a single to right field to bring home Cameron Greene for a 1-0 lead.

Flag City answered in the bottom half as Atticus Huffstutler drove a base hit to right to score the tying run and make it 1-1.

In the third, Miranda added another RBI with a fly ball to center field, allowing Elijah Buffaloe to tag and score from third to put the Locos back in front, 2-1.

But the Sluggers responded again in the bottom of the third. Trenton Smith went the opposite way and drove a ball to the wall in right for an RBI triple, helping Flag City regain momentum.

The Sluggers closed the regular season with a 6-4 win over the Locos.
