LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Monday night's Lima City Council meeting addressing the Derry Glenn body camera footage that took place April 30th.
Council meeting on Monday night, with strong thoughts on the footage between Lima police officers and 6th ward Glenn.
Detective Matt Boss of the FOP blue unit giving his thoughts to council members, extending grace to Glenn, as well as apologizing for any misunderstanding.
Each council member shared their thoughts on the incident.
Glenn says he wants to learn more about the Lima Police Department, adding that communication is needed to provide good service.
"Like I said in my short speech, we're all human. We all make mistakes, myself included, and once we come together and make each other better, we can make our city better," says Matt Boss, detective for the Lima Police Department.
"You know, only thing we need to do is continue communicating, knowing which way we need to do with one another. Communicate with one another, so we can make this a better place. Continue making Lima a better place," says Derry Glenn, 6th Ward Lima City Councilman.
The matter was considered settled as the meeting adjourned. In other council business, the ordinance for the cable road project to be put on the ballot was also passed on its first reading.
