It’s an outreach program that has been successful in getting people to drive right in to learn more.

Area youth and their families are invited to attend the Spring Activity Packets and Food Distribution sponsored by Activate Allen County and “SAFY.” The kids will get a bag full of games and activities to keep them active, a personal hygiene kit, and a food box from the West Ohio Food Bank. It’s an effort to let families know what types of services are out there that they can use.

Regina Colwell Outreach Coordinator with SAFY explains, “They can easily get these outreach bags and some flyers with quick information. References, phone numbers, resources, referral information, anything they need from SAFY Lima Behavioral Health and drop-in center or Activate Allen County or any other community partners that join us.”
The drive-thru is this Friday from 3 pm to 5 pm at the SAFY Drop-in Center at 638 West Market Street. And if you don’t have a vehicle, don’t worry, you can walk through to pick up packets as well.
