SHAWNEE TWP, Ohio (WLIO) - A two-alarm fire overnight in Shawnee Township destroys a home.
Heavy fire and smoke were seen as firefighters arrived on scene just after 2 AM at a one story home on West Breese Road. All occupants were out of the home when crews arrived and it has been reported that they were able to get several family pets out successfully.
The blaze was brought under control around 4 AM and the house is considered a total loss. There has been no cause of the fire released and it remains under investigation.

Shawnee was assisted by an engine from the Lima Fire Department and an engine and medic from Perry Township Fire.
