DELPHOS, OH (WLIO) -Â With the kids returning to the classroom next month, the Lewis Family McDonald's is making sure that families are prepared through their Backpack Giveaway!
On Monday evening inside the McDonald's lobby in Delphos, school-aged children, along with the help of their parents, picked out their brand new backpack. Each backpack was filled with school supplies, ranging from new pencils and erasers to notebooks, folders, and colored pencils. As the kids sifted through their new belongings, Monday's mission was to ensure that all kids had everything they needed for a successful year of learning.

"We just want to make sure that everybody can get, if they are in need or whatever, they can get their backpacks and be prepared. Some families might not have the finances to get their kids anything, and this is just our opportunity to say, 'hey, we care,'" says Cheryl Brown, First Assistant of the Delphos McDonald's.
