LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Parents looking for an engaging option for their children during Thanksgiving break can take advantage of the Lima Family YMCA’s “No School Days” program. The YMCA will offer the program on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 28, for children in kindergarten through fourth grade.
Participants can enjoy a variety of activities, including soccer, basketball, crafts, board games and swimming. YMCA staff say the program provides not only physical activity but also opportunities for children to make new friends and strengthen their social skills.
Families can register in person or online at limaymca.net. The cost is $15 for YMCA members and $20 for non-members. Parents are reminded to pack gym shoes, a swimsuit, a towel and a packed lunch for their child.
