LIMA, OH (WLIO) -Â ArtSpace/Lima is inviting the public to a unique experience of viewing art in downtown Lima.
Many are used to seeing art in a museum or gallery setting but soon you can take part in an artwalk. Nearly two dozen downtown businesses will be opening their doors and hosting a local artist and their work. Downtown Lima Inc. and ArtSpace/Lima have teamed up to offer this unique look into regional artists.
"And the nice thing is the businesses have opened them up so that the artist can display their work, talk to the artists and during that time and get a different feel for just what we have to offer," stated Sally Windle, executive director of ArtSpace/Lima.
"Artwalk" will be Thursday, September 8th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A map will be available at artspacelima.com starting on Thursday. The event is a way of drawing new audiences into the downtown businesses. You can also ride the RTA trolley from place to place thanks to Citizens National Bank.
