Students at the Children's Developmental Center of Lima and their families were having a lot of fun at the refinery's 66th annual Christmas party.
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Cenovus Lima Refinery continues a long tradition of hosting a Christmas party for kids with developmental disabilities.
Students at the Children's Developmental Center of Lima and their families were having a lot of fun at the refinery's 66th annual Christmas party. There was free food, face painting, a bounce house, and Santa and Mrs. Claus handing out gifts to all the kids.
The students have been excited about the party for a couple of days now, and so are the adults to carry on this tradition for nearly seven decades.

"We are so grateful for the partnership to help us to be able to provide this to our families. We have our current students and students from the last three years. So it's a great way for us to kind of stay in touch with our families and have a lot of fun getting ready for the holidays," says Elisha Reineke, Ex. Dir. Children's Developmental Center.
"So, we really look forward to this event. We actually start planning in the summertime for this event. We know it's coming, and we want to make it a great event for all the kids. We really want them to have fun and engage, and we are able to feed their families and have a good time. You know, don't worry about anything but having fun," says Samuel White, Jr., Cenovus Lima Refinery.
The Children's Developmental Center of Lima provides developmental preschool classes, as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs for their students.
