Students at Freedom Elementary got a big surprise today thanks to the Lima Exchange Club. For more than 20 years, even before Freedom Elementary was built, the club has given Christmas presents to the young students in the Lima school district. Santa and his helpers brought the kids books, treats, and toys, but also clothing items like hats, gloves, socks, and even a fleece blanket.

The Cenovus Lima Refinery continues a long tradition of hosting a Christmas party for kids with developmental disabilities. Students at the Children's Developmental Center of Lima and their families were having a lot of fun at the refinery's 66th annual Christmas party. There was free food, face painting, a bounce house, and Santa and Mrs. Claus handing out gifts to all the kids. The students have been excited about the party for a couple of days now, and so are the adults to carry on this tradition for nearly seven decades.

The announcement has been made for the fourth annual Spencerville Hometown Christmas Festival. The event takes place from 3 to 7 p.m. on December 7, 2024. At 7:10 p.m., the village tree lighting will conclude the evening. With an ice rink, carriage rides, a bounce house, a kids' craft fair, barrel cart rides, pony rides, a cookie walk, a gingerbread house competition, and a community house lighting contest, the event is sure to provide lots of fun for the whole family.

The spirit of Christmas is returning to a downtown Lima business to bring joy to all. Christmas in July has become an annual tradition at The Meeting Place on Market. It brings the sights, sounds, and tastes of the holidays during the summer. The cafe will be turned into Santa's Workshop, with plenty of activities for the kids and even some for the adults. It's an event for the whole family.

They transform the cafe into Santa’s Workshop and offer holiday favorite drinks and desserts such as peppermint mochas and kids' candy cane cocoas. Multiple partners for the community have joined the coffee shop in offering a fun day of activities for all ages. The schedule for the Christmas in July event on Friday, July 26th, is 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
