LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Downtown Lima!
The Christmas tree on Town Square in Downtown Lima was lit up for Mix 103.3's annual "Flip the Switch."
On Friday evening, the Christmas tree on Town Square in Downtown Lima was lit up for Mix 103.3's annual "Flip the Switch." One lucky person won the chance to light up the tree. In addition to the tree lighting, the kids took pictures with jolly ole' Santa Claus and told Kris Kringle what they would like for Christmas. There was also a train ride, face painting, games, food, hot chocolate, and much more. As each Christmas season goes by, organizers say this event has become a Downtown Lima tradition.
"We've been going 10 years plus with this event now, and we love seeing the kids come out, the smiles on their faces when they see Christmas, when they see Santa, when they see the train. It really has become a staple of Downtown Lima over the last 10 years," says JB Webb, radio host of "JB in the Morning."
The lucky winner who flipped the switch Friday night also won a trip for four people to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
