SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WLIO) — The regional round of high school boys basketball delivered plenty of highlight-worthy moments, but one stood above the rest for this week’s Play of the Week.

During the Division II regional final, the Lima Senior Spartans faced off against the Winton Woods Warriors with a trip to the state tournament on the line.

Late in the game with Lima Senior holding a five-point lead, the ball found the Northern Kentucky University commit Willie Foster. The senior flew to the rim and threw down an emphatic slam that brought the crowd to its feet.

The dunk capped off the Spartans’ 62-58 victory as Lima Senior avenged last season’s regional round loss to Winton Woods and secured its first trip to the state tournament in 10 years.

Foster and the Spartans will return to the court in the Division II state semifinal against the Massillon Washington Tigers on March 21 at the Nutter Center.
