For 19 years, Rockford churches and volunteers have been helping individuals and family have a place to go on Christmas Day. Â
The Delphos Canal Museum is holding their 25th annual "Celebrate Christmas." Featuring 100 Christmas trees, wreaths, and other holiday items decorated by local groups and organizations along with museum trustees and volunteers.
Fresh-n-Faded and Team Outreach Lima made the season merry and bright for some seniors. The 2nd annual Christmas at Lochhaven party was held Thursday afternoon. First in the morning, Team Outreach and Santa brought presents to the residents at Lochhaven-- then in the afternoon they played their annual Bingo game. There were Christmas cookies passed around, gift bags and baskets were passed out, and Christmas music was played by the DJ. For Team Outreach and Fresh-n-Faded, this partnership has done what it set out to do since it was created, and that is make an impact in the community that shaped them.
The West Ohio Food Bank is asking for your help in making someone's Christmas a little tastier. Next Monday, the food bank will be assembling their Christmas Eve take-and-go ham dinners. They can use some help in getting them ready and also distributing them on Tuesday. It is a great opportunity for individuals, groups, or organizations to give back.

ArtSpace/Lima is selling unique and one-of-a-kind artistic creations, from pottery and jewelry to various items available for purchase in the sale room. Gift cards are also available to buy. The money collected in the saleroom will go toward the building next door. That adjacent lot is currently being remodeled on the interior with the ultimate plan for a new art museum.Â

Monday was the only food distribution scheduled for December at the West Ohio Food Bank, and the hours were extended. More than 950 families were signed up for the 6 hours of the distribution. West Ohio Food Bank officials say that they have served 60,000 non-duplicated persons in 2024. They say the need has not diminished since the pandemic but has increased, and they are trying to keep up with the need.

They held their 4th annual brunch for Auglaize County veterans and their families. They love seeing new and returning veterans come and enjoy the meal with their loved ones, not only thanking the veterans for what they gave for our country, but giving them a group to celebrate the holiday season with.
The Lima area Toys for Tots program is getting assistance from Meijer to provide a merry Christmas for hundreds of children. The Lima Meijer store donated $3,000 to the local Toys for Tots program, allowing them to fill cart after cart of toys for area children. Organizers say they are still in need of items for all ages, and donations like this are a great help.
