LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Christmas is next week, and Visit Greater Lima has local unique gifts for sale that will benefit the community.
Various items are for sale, including short- and long-sleeved t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, coffee mugs, shot glasses, and even totes that are all Lima-themed.

All proceeds from the merchandise sales will go toward the Destiny Development grant and the grant program for local non-profit organizations and attractions.
You can visit their office in person each day through this Friday and next Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
By purchasing Christmas gifts locally, that money spent will feed back into the community, ultimately boosting the local economy.
"Shopping local on every level, whether it's with us or at a local restaurant or at a local store, a bakery, that money stays here. So then, those bakers, those restaurateurs, they're buying here; they're supporting other employees, and that generates jobs, and it generates economic development throughout our county, so shopping local is very important," said Betsy Billingsley, executive director of Visit Greater Lima.

There are two ways to go about buying gifts from Visit Greater Lima. You can visit their office in person each day through this Friday and next Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also buy gifts online at https://www.visitgreaterlima.com/, but keep in mind those gifts will not be ready until after the new year.
