LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Fresh-n-Faded and Team Outreach Lima made the season merry and bright for some seniors.
There were Christmas cookies passed around, gift bags and baskets were passed out, and Christmas music was played by the DJ.
The 2nd annual Christmas at Lochhaven Party was held Thursday afternoon. First in the morning, Team Outreach and Santa brought presents to the residents at Lochhaven-- then in the afternoon they played their annual Bingo game. There were Christmas cookies passed around, gift bags and baskets were passed out, and Christmas music was played by the DJ.
For Team Outreach and Fresh-n-Faded, this partnership has done what it set out to do since it was created, and that is make an impact in the community that shaped them.

"It's the holiday season, and most of these residents, they don't have a lot of people to come and hang out with them. Shoutout to Allen-Oakwood Correctional. They came in for the first part of the day and adopted residents, and we adopted all the residents in the building. This is the second part where we come back in and play bingo with them, and thanks to Grab-a-Bag, they donated all the bingo gifts, you know," said Leandra Johnson & Quincy Peoples, founders of the Fresh-n-Faded Team Outreach Lima.
"Just the fact of being able to make other people's day, to make people happy. A lot of people are disadvantaged, and a lot of us have the means to help. We came together to help get the means and resources to make people happy. We also want to say thank you to all of our supporters and sponsors that make this all happen. Without them we wouldn't be able to do the things that we're able to," added Johnson and Peoples.
Johnson and Peoples also want to voice their appreciation to their third founding member, Tamara Moore, who has been integral in their success and helping set up all of their community outreach events.
