ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The West Ohio Food Bank is asking for your help in making someone's Christmas a little tastier.
Next Monday, the food bank will be assembling their Christmas Eve take-and-go ham dinners.
Next Monday, the food bank will be assembling their Christmas Eve take-and-go ham dinners. They can use some help in getting them ready and also distributing them on Tuesday. It is a great opportunity for individuals, groups, or organizations to give back.
"We're also going to need volunteers on Christmas Eve morning to not only stand with us like we do a regular distribution drive-through to hand out the dinners but to also possibly deliver those to shut-ins because we are offering that service as well," said Jason Aldrich, communications and PR manager at West Ohio Food Bank.
If you would like to receive a meal, you will need to call the West Ohio Food Bank by Thursday, December 19, 2024.
If you would like to receive a meal, you will need to call the West Ohio Food Bank by Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the afternoon at 4 p.m. so arrangements can be made. Drive-through meals will be handed out Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. or while supplies last.
To volunteer to package meals, just come to the food bank on Monday, December 23rd, at 8 a.m., and to help hand out the meals, be at the food bank by 9 a.m. on Christmas Eve.
