LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Rhodes State College held their final Board of Trustees meeting of the year on Tuesday.
The trustees had many items on the agenda to wrap up 2022. Reports were given on the progress of reaccreditation and a new strategy to secure donations for the school over the holiday season.
One of the main goals of the meeting was to continue Dr. Cynthia Spiers' contract as the President of Rhodes State College for the next three years. The board and Rhodes community have been very impressed with the work she has done in her first three years in the role.
"She came in right away and picked up where Rhodes was and where we needed to go. There were plans that were rather dormant and she picked that up. One that's very apparent is the Borra Center that got constructed downtown. And she made that go forward with those plans," said Jane Crites, the chair of Rhodes State College's Board of Trustees.
Rhodes State's board members also reviewed the college's revenues and expenses at the meeting.
