LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima Sixth Ward councilman Derry Glenn will be hosting a town hall for adult mental health services following a recent community survey.

Glenn and his team found that respondents were uncertain about how to go about searching for and receiving mental health treatment.

The survey uncovered many Lima residents do not know where to go for services, are scared about being stigmatized, and are worried about how to pay for treatment and if their insurance will cover it.

Glenn was inspired to plan a town hall in December so people know where to go for help.

"We're there to help, and I want to reach out to them and say, hey, come on. I can get you some help, and that's my main goal. I want everybody to show up. I want that room filled up and just be there to get information," stated Derry Glenn, Sixth Ward councilman.

Glenn will hold the adult mental health town hall on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

Glenn will hold the adult mental health town hall on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The town hall will be inside the conference room at the Wingate Hotel, located at 175 W Market St, Lima, OH 45801. Glenn says mental health experts will come in to speak about ways for people to begin the process of finding services.
