FINDLAY, Ohio (WLIO) - Residents in Hancock County achieving financial stability thanks to the Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County.

Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County celebrates four years of providing financial resources for the community

The center is possible thanks to the generosity of community members and community partners, such as the Naliborski family, whom the FOC is named after. 

The Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County celebrated the 4th anniversary of their financial opportunity center. Their free financial stability program provides education and guidance to anyone regardless of their financial background about the necessary skills to help build and sustain wealth.

The center is possible thanks to the generosity of community members and community partners, such as the Naliborski family, whom the FOC is named after. Manager of the Financial Opportunity Center, Dustin Fuller, says the growth they've seen over the last four years is beyond their initial expectations.

"In our first year, we served 40 people, which was above and beyond our own expectations, And last year, we served 395," said Fuller. "We've seen tremendous growth over the course of the last four years, and it's because the skills that you learn by having somebody as an accountability partner, somebody to help you apply what you learn in the classroom to your own personal situations. It's so needed, and it's also universal. It doesn't matter how much money you make, it doesn't matter where you come from. You can benefit from knowing these skills."

The Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County is the only agency of its in the entire United States that provides a financial opportunity center.
