LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Kids got a chance to see Santa and learn a little about the past in our area.
Anyone was welcome to come into the house, which was decorated like it was back in the early 1900s.
Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District held an open house at Lauer Farm Sunday afternoon. Anyone was welcome to come into the house, which was decorated like it was back in the early 1900s. Kids also got to see Santa and one of his elves and let them know what they would like to unwrap this Christmas.
"I think the kids have enjoyed it; it's been mixed reactions. Some of the younger visitors haven't been as enthused with Santa. But some of the older children have enjoyed it, and parents have certainly enjoyed it as well," says Carrie Barr, location coordinator.
Johnny Appleseed's next event will be "Jogging with Johnny" on December 16th. They will be at the Ottawa metro park from 5 to 6 pm.
