West Middle Schoolers were with their Sparties from Heritage Elementary school decorating Christmas Cookies. They were learning icing techniques from the Sweet and Savory Shanty on Harding Highway. The students caught on quickly and were decorating like they were Food Network stars.

Sparty Little Alexandrea Nickles talks about the event, “It’s Actually very fun decorating these cookies because we get to play with a whole bunch of icing and our creativity. And a whole bunch of icing, it’s pretty fun!”

Terell McGraw is also a Sparty little, “I’m coming out here for a field trip and the reason why I like coming is my big brother is really fun.”

Tavion Mitchell is McGraw’s big brother and explains about the program, “I think it’s a great experience for them you know, their social skills and other fun things to do. So, I think that’s really the biggest part about this.”

The Sparty Friends will be visiting littles at Freedom and Unity Elementary Schools this Friday for some holiday fun.
