LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The 2023 Downtown Lima Holiday Festival marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the city.
The holiday festival had over 20 locations participating, each offering a unique experience. At The Meeting Place on Market, visitors could take free pictures with Santa, while Artspace/Lima helped children make their own clay ornaments, and a Shirley's Popcorn Pop-Up was also present. The festival also featured dance performances from local schools and studios, free RTA trolley rides, photo opportunities, and musical performances.
"We like driving traffic downtown so that everybody can see what we have going on. There's tons of shops, lots of restaurants, lots of places that you may not know have opened in the last year, but we have a lot of new businesses down here. So, it's a great time to pick up stocking stuffers, gift cards, and things like that. It really does, sort of, kick off the holiday shopping season downtown," said Betsy Billingsley, Executive Director of Downtown Lima INC.
Besty Billingsley also thanked The Law Firm of Fitzgerald, Reese & Elliott Company, and Webb Insurance Agency for sponsoring the Downtown Lima Holiday Festival.
