Lima Police officer arrested in Wapakoneta after an incident over the weekend

A Lima Police officer is in trouble with the law after allegedly being involved in an incident this past weekend in Auglaize County.

Officer Tyler Dunlap was arrested on four charges Sunday. Misconduct at an emergency and resisting arrest, both first-degree misdemeanors, also assault and disorderly conduct, 4th-degree misdemeanors.

Lima Police Chief Angel Cortes tells Your News Now, that he will decide whether to place Officer Dunlap on paid administrative leave and initiate an investigation after the officer's initial hearing and he reviews the video of the incident and written reports. The chief expects that decision Wednesday. Dunlap was released from jail after Tuesday's hearing.
