Lima, OH (WLIO) - A man is in the hospital after a crash in Lima on Friday.
The Lima Police Department says that just after 6 pm, officers attempted to stop a motorcycle that was driving recklessly on Market Street near Pierce Street. The motorcycle also did not have license plates.
Once the officers used their overhead lights, the driver, 20-year-old Rayce Hooper, failed to stop and sped through a red light. He eventually struck a pickup truck that was driving through the intersection.
Hooper was rushed to Mercy Health St. Rita's and is currently listed in critical condition. This crash remains under investigation.
