The Ohio Department of Taxation has issued an alert on holiday sales tax this August.

Starting August 5th and running through August 7th, a variety of items will be exempt from sales and use tax. This includes an item of clothing priced at seventy-five dollars or less, an item of school supplies priced at twenty dollars or less, and an item of school instructional material priced at twenty dollars or less. Items that are used in a trade or business are not exempt under the sales tax holiday.
