The public, including past CEOs of the food bank, were invited to come to tour the building, see memorabilia from the organization's history, and ask whatever questions they may have about the current services they have to offer. Phil Compton, who founded the West Ohio Food Bank in 1987, was also in attendance, telling guests more about where it all started and how their reach expanded over the years.

"We would never be where we are without our partner agencies and the community supporting us to get the food out throughout our eleven county service area," said Tommie Harner, West Ohio Food Bank CEO. "We're constantly trying to find new community partners to work with and find innovative ways to get food into those homes."
