The rainy weather isn't stopping people from heading out to vote.

The two contests on the ballot drawing people to the polls across Ohio include the race for governor as well as U.S. Senate. Allen County Board of Elections Director Kathy Meyer says there was a high early voting turnout over the weekend, and despite the ongoing redistricting drama and the rainy weather, that should not have a major impact on voter turnout today.

"This election is different because of the mapping issue and so forth. We will have a secondary primary possibly in August, but otherwise, voting procedure is all the same. We do the same work no matter how many people are on that ballot," says Kathy Meyer.
Voters will have until 7:30 to cast their votes at polling locations.
