Lima's biggest festival is getting off to a big start!
The St. Gerard Festival is back in full force and thousands came out to enjoy the live music, games, and food including their famous chicken wings. The festival also brought back the rides the kids enjoy. After scaling way back the last couple of years because of the pandemic, organizers are glad to see the Lima community having fun while supporting St. Gerard.
“This is really our biggest fundraiser,” says Kelly Stolly Co-Chair for St. Gerard Festival. “It has been hard the last two years because the school and the parish rely on the funding from this festival. So, having it back this year is huge, for our parish and school. But we are just so happy to be back in the north end of Lima, and the Lima community, really everywhere around Lima that comes out to support us.
The festival is open from noon to midnight on Saturday and from noon to 10 pm on Sunday.
