After a year and a half long investigation, three people from Columbus have been arrested and charged in the murder of a St. Marys man.

Auglaize Sheriff Al Solomon announced the arrest of 31-year-old Syniqua Bell, 27-year-old Jacar Bitting, and 31-year-old Keith Waddell. All three were taken into custody over the past few weeks and are facing multiple charges including murder, attempted murder, aggravated murder with a gun specification, and felonious assault.

In April of 2018, 47-year-old Dexter Turner was shot at the Dockside Apartments in St. Marys, he died a few days later. His son, 25-year-old Alim Turner, was shot and injured. Sheriff Solomon says more than one agency has been involved in what has been called an intense ongoing investigation. Bell and Bitting have already had their initial appearance in court. Waddell is still waiting to face a judge.

Auglaize County Sheriff Allen Solomon has announced that there has been a new development into the ongoing investigation of the shooting that occurred on April 11, 2018, south of St. Mary’s, leaving one man dead, and another severely injured.

Bond for Bell has been set at $500,000.00 10%

Waddell is currently awaiting his initial court appearance.

Sheriff Solomon commented "This has been a long, intense investigation, involving more than one agency, including a few from outside the area. We appreciated their assistance. These agencies include: St Marys FD & PD, Celina FD, Ohio BCI &I, Columbus Police Department, Whitehall Police Department and Lima Police Department".

"Due to the nature of the investigation, we will not be making any further comments" stated Sheriff Solomon.
