A staff in-service ceremony highlighted the work done by the agency in helping residents in the county, as well as outlining ways they can continue to provide care and services. Staff members were also recognized with awards for their service in the community. Organizers say that the event helps get new members up to speed, as well as highlight accomplishments over the past year.

Lima Senior students, given an opportunity to be recognized for continuing their education. Students who are continuing their academic careers signed special "National Letters of Intent" forms to the university or branch of the military that they will be attending after high school. The event mimicked what is often seen on signing days when it comes to athletes committing to schools, and school leaders say that they wanted to replicate the cheer and accomplishment that comes with signing your name to a university to students who are not athletes.
The group met to kick off the new year and get thing rolling. The Mayor gave his annual address where he talked about the major accomplishments that have been made in the community. One of those accomplishments was the water diversion project, which is located between two sections of the Blanchard River on the west side of Ottawa and will keep water levels down to lower the threat of flooding in the village.
