Allen County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in Perry Township. The sheriff's office has not released many details as of yet, but they say the incident happened on Charledon Avenue Tuesday afternoon. A Lima man refused to leave his home when Allen County Sheriff deputies tried to execute a protection order. 26-year-old John Peterson III walked out of 807 Crestwood Avenue after a two-hour negotiation with the sheriff's department after he barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies were trying to execute a court-ordered protection order when Peterson closed the door and refused to come out.
The Allen County Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing in Perry Township. Around 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, scanner traffic indicated that a victim had been stabbed in the head and neck area on Lennox Avenue. Shortly after, it was stated that a male suspect was in custody.
